Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This movie was excellent. It's everything I didn't expect out of a Marvel or DC movie, in general.
When I stepped into the theater, and even while preparing to watch the movie, I didn't really expect Infinity War to be anything special, as I don't with most movies.
Masterpieces just don't happen anymore, at least in movies that I randomly go see at the theater.

Though, this time was different. Shortly after starting, this movie had a totally different vibe from the others. It had a certain darkness to it, and it made me question my ignorance from earlier.
When Loki died, I was dumbfounded. I knew this movie was going to have death, and I knew it was going to be different. Though, I still had that whole "happy ending" spiel mindset that I thought was going to occur throughout the movie.
And for the most part, it did. It's always the same in my mind. Here's why:

>Bad thing is known
>Bad thing continues to become known as heroes plan stuff
>Heroes make plan and follow through but bad thing is scarily close to succeeding (oh no! right?)
>Doesn't go according to plan so the plan changes or some other hero thinks tactically and saves the day somehow
>The end, audience cheers happy ending once again.

But no, that's not how it went at all.
Instead it went a little something like this
>Bad thing is known
>Heroes almost have NO plan to begin with, which is worrisome to the audience
>Heroes' plan starts to come together but barely
>Doesn't go according to plan so Thor tries to save the day
>It wasn't enough?... Hold on... What? How? Uhhhh Bad ending... Audience is dead silent and dumbfounded...

See what I mean?
They totally changed up the game, and by adding a bad ending, that nobody saw coming, they are gonna make a ton of sales on the next movie for sure.
Really well done movie, impressive.
